Ughhh. I remember a few years ago, or more recently, that Tablet PCs got into the news (again?). "Its the wave of the future. No need for desktops or laptops anymore." Those aren't actual quotes, but I wouldn't say they were for from the thoughts at the time.
What type of function-void were they meant to fill? What was so special about them that you would use them instead of a PDA? I've never seen even one in my entire life. At the moment, I think they are nothing more than an overpriced novelty.
I'm pretty sure I've seen a site that hosted a petition that asked Apple to make a tablet Mac. Don't get me started on that...
My PowerMacintosh Server G3 arrived yesterday. Its pretty much just a regular Beige G3, except it came with server software and a SCSI card with a SCSI HD raid set up. Mine didn't have the two hard drives for a RAID setup in it, though.

I've pretty much already have it running as a server at the moment. I'm planning on putting Yellow Dog Linux on it soon.
That reminds me that I have to setup one of my Dad's computers as a server; since he wanted one.
I'm doing something aren't I? Well, I would hope so.
I've just got done fixing up a PowerMac B&W, blue and white, G3 for my Dad. He is going to be using it as a server soon.
As for my server, it should be arriving on Monday. Since its going to be taking the Powerbase's job, I've got to find another use for the Powerbase. I'm brainstorming on it though.
Hmm... Rolling Stones Article. Ughh, enlistment extensions to 2031. Damn, that ain't right.
I updated my Mac to 10.2.8 today. The good news is that the PCI Extreme hack once again works.
To get that in 10.3.7, I had to replace the CoreGraphics framework of 10.3.7 with that of 10.3.6. It worked fine, but I just didn't like doing it.
...for my crappy life. Not only do I have to refund around $140 on eBay for 2 items, but I still have yet to send another one off. The latter thanks to UPS's confusing-ass international shipping online. I think that I just don't possess the intelligence to figure it out.
But just wait on that. The living room in my apartment is just full of crap. Boxes and boxes of it. None of it mine. This all happens as Mt. Dish-more continues to gain in height.
At least my Mac isn't giving me any problems. Thank the gods on that one.
While I was going through Wal-Mart to get some a new oil filter and some oil, I happened to spot a NSX RC car. I couldn't help myself, I had to get it. On the bad side, the thing needs 6 AA batteries that didn't come with it. It might be till tomorrow before I can drive it around. No worries though.
Hmm. Ever since I started college, I've started being more depressed than usual. Of course, personally its not much different that high school and I hated high school.
Perhaps, today has just been a bad day. Yea, I'll go with that.
