I am quite cheery today. My new hard drive, to replace my now dead secondary one, has arrived. I wasted no time in opening my computer up and getting it all nice and cozy in there. Ah, it is nice to have my full storage capacity back.
Well, I put it off for a while until I was reminded about it today. So, here are 8 things you may or may not know about me:
Greetings my fellow internet dwellers. Disaster has struck me today. After copying over a particularly large file for my uses, my crap secondary hard drive finally died on me. This doesn't really come as a suprise to me. The drive has never acted very healthy.
Luckily I was able to backup many things to a DVD before I was unable to even mount the damn thing on my computer. Plus, I have some old but useable backups from when I was moving stuff onto the drive. Strangely enough, although that dying drive took with it about half of my total storage capacity, I am only using 20% of my primary drive. So, storage space isn't really an issue, yet.
I'm still planning on getting another drive to replace the dead one, though. I just have to gather some funds to do so. I suppose with classes staring next week, most of 'my' money will be going towards expensive and relatively useless books. So, I'm going to have to sell something. Something... something...
Damn, I hate spam. I only rarely get it on my (@)tmanime accounts but I get quite a bit at my yahoo one. I will give Yahoo a good round of applause for their spam filters getting a good deal of them but not all of them. For the rest, the filters I set up on it seems to catch the rest. I rarely get even 1 in my inbox.
What I wonder about is the purpose behind it all. Why? Why would anyone fall for those stupid barely-english subject lines. I suppose since a sucker is born every second 'they' actually do get someone to fall for it.
Blarrghhh, Thomas angry!!
Hmm, I suppose since I was 'tagged' of sorts, I have to list 8 things about myself. I shall later on today. You can bet your bottom dollar...

Its still kind of sad, for I had hoped the last bastion of PowerPC Mac-ness would last a little longer. I suppose Apple couldn't afford to wait, though.
The only thing this does for me is to cast doubt upon bothering to upgrade the Powermac G4 my Dad is letting me use. I mean, I have a relatively high powered PC sitting around that plays any computer games I want to. Plus, I don't do any heavy video editing or anything that would really benefit from a faster Mac.
Blarrghhh. Thomas not want talk more. Until later...

What prompted me to try it was that I got tired of there being crap all at the local video rental stores. No, I didn't want the recent crap release. I wanted what I wanted to watch, Damnit!
Of course, I looked around at other options. One such service that I looked at was RentAnime. But, once I began to think about it, what would happen if I wanted to get something other than anime. Maybe, I wanted to watch one of my favorite samurai flicks. What would I do then? That striked RentAnime off of my things to try out.
The second choice was to simple buy what I wanted to watch. Ha ha ha. That marked that one off the list too.
Then, I came to my last option (Yea, I didn't research too many choices). Netflix was pretty much what I had long decided upon, in truth. It simply had good reviews and everything else on its side. Plus, they had any anime series I wanted to watch. I jumped up and shouted for joy. I had found what I wanted. After a quick check in my bank account to see if I had the money, I went ahead and signed myself up.
I haven't looked back since.
I've just got back from a week down at my parent's house. I mainly helped my mom around the yards, aside from lazing around of course. I do enjoy going down there.
Hmm. I think I'll write some more tomorrow. Just wanted to get something new up on my blog. So, until tomorrow...
