Good 'ole Applescript

After posting that Applescript thing yesterday, I've been in a flurry of activity now scripting up some more. The good bulk of them are for things on my computer itself and not really usefull to anyone else
This got me thinking on how long I've been using Applescript to handle various tasks here and there. I'm pretty sure I used it back in the days when I was on the Performa 460. I don't think I did anything really complex back then, though.
I'm pretty sure Applescript is the backbone of Apple's Automator. Of course it has to be. Yes, of that I'm sure. Yea.
I think that I was going to go into something more but I've forgotten what, as I write this.

   More later...

ha! i've been using applescript back in the days of HyperCard 2.3 on my old Mac II! oh wait -- that was the language HyperTalk, but it could communicate with applescript, by golly. :P

In Hypercard 2.4, I believe you could choose to write your scripts in Applescript, I think but I'm not too sure.

aye, we never did get our hands on a copy of 2.4, did we? (did we?)

you know... the platform I design on today (Lotus Domino) is exactly like how Hypercard used to be back in the day. No wonder it always seemed so familiar.

Oh, yea. I did eventually get a copy of Hypercard 2.4 a while back.
