Life, in general.

Greetings again loyal internet reader(s). I come to you to tell you that all is going well. I've pretty much finished moving into my new abode. I finally said the my last goodbyes to the valiant apartment that I've lived in for the past year, or years.
Relating to what I've been talking about not long ago, I do indeed have an internet connection. Its somewhat spotty (it was yesterday, anyway) but still manages to satisfy my need of the Intarwebs. I haven't yet tried to play World of Wacraft on it yet, though. I'll probably try that tomorrow.
Well, I didn't really have anything of real importance to talk about. So, I'll let you go for now. For now...

tEh IntarWebs await...

Sorry internet reader(s). I've been absent lately. I have finished moving all of my stuff to my new abode, but I have yet to set up an internet service. Thus, I am without the good that is the Internet.
Fear not, I will be back again shortly. All will be right with the world.

New Wireless Router...

With the new move, I'll most likely be missing from the internet scene for a week at the most. First, I have to get the cable internet setup at the new place. Second, I have to get another wireless/wired router as the current one is owned by Bubu and not me.
I was worried that a good new router would set me back around fifty dollars. Luckily, I know of a good place to get cheap stuff. The selection was actually quite good and I quickly picked out a cheap (because it was refurbished) 802.11g router.
Mind you, I haven't yet ordered it. But, I will tomorrow. That should be more than enough time to get here by time I get the cable internet sorted out.

Moving Progress

I finished up the majority of my moving today. Aside from a few essentials, I don't really have much left to do till I am fully moved over to my new place of residence. Moving still sucks, though.
   Blarghhh...

Status update...

Nope. Nothing going on ever here. Well, I've been doing a little bit of light packing and some gaming. But, that's about it. I know that I should be doing some other important stuff too, but I'm one lazy-ass kind of person.
I'm going to have to get ya'll a picture of my new 'Robot Desk Lamp'. I'll get right on that.

Hokusai, mighty defender of the Light on the Hyjal server, has left. Hokusai was no longer needed (having since decided that the various paladins on the server could defend the Light just as well as he could). Thus, Hokusai began the perilous, but necessary, journey acorss the Void to another dimension where his help will be needed.
So, if Evil ever threatens your homestead, Hokusai shall be more than helpful in vanquishing it forever.

Hokusai is my primary character that I play, every now and then, in World of Warcraft.

I'm starting to think that I started packing up my stuff a little early. Hell, I've still got two weeks till I plan on moving in and I've packed a considerable amount of small things (things other than furniture).
Although it makes me sad to see so much of my stuff in amongst a mountain a boxes, I've kept all of my 'essential' things till the very day I move. These 'essentials' are my computers (server, gaming PC, and my Mac), the television, and my bed (obviously, I have to sleep).
I've decided to take a break from packing for now. Mind you, I wasn't doing much in the way of packing. But, I'm a very lazy person. Well, lazy when it comes to things I don't want to do.

Ah, my good 'ole gaming PC. It does the job well when I call on it to do something. The only real problem I have is that it gets hot. A little too hot for my tastes. Mind you, when I leave the case cover off it actually stays about the right idling temperature for its sort of precessor.
So, using my Thomas-design sense, I've decided to replace the case cover with a aluminum screen. It will keep hands, especially mine, out of the case while still allowing maximum air flow throughtout it.
I haven't actually gotten around to putting it on but I plan to. I have more than enough, too.

Well, another move is coming up.
This is a move more out of 'having to' than 'wanting to'. My fellow tenants of this particular apartment were moving out and I was going to be left paying the full rent. Thusly, moving out seemed a better option.
My options, as far as reasonable places to go, were limited. Luckily, I was able to procure a room in a trailer (*ick*) that my cousing was renting.

On top of moving, I also have to get a job as I'm not attending college this semester-thing. Oui! I have no experience getting a job nor keeping one.
I won't lie to you, loyal internet reader(s), I've been surviving on Dad-money alone these last 2 or 3 years in college. Plus, I'm getting tired of people telling me what I need to be doing. What I need to be doing is putting my hand upside those people's faces. Whatever.

Nah, I'm kidding about all that. I do ever enjoy this rest from classes, though.

Since I've been using my latest main Mac incarnation, I've longed for a wireless mouse that would make the process of routing the mouse cable to reduce pull on it, obsolete. As of today, I've finally reached that point.
This mouse just so happens to be a cheap-ass BenQ M306 wireless optical mouse I bought at one of my usual stomping grounds for cheaply-priced computer goods.
I have to say that after only half a day, I'm quite impressed with it over my previous mouse. The tracking is nice and smooth and it also has an extra two buttons for user-programmable tasks (I have to find something to use them in OS X without costing me money). Plus, even with the two AA batteries that power it, it is quite light in the hand.
With that all in mind, I have to give this mousey a 5 out of 5 (I'll get some graphics soon for this soon).

I like surfing through news sites. Well, sites that hold links to other news sites (Such as Digg and Slashdot). I especially like to view reviews on products that interest me. This is especially true when it comes to technical computer-related things. Most of these reviews are from sites that specialize in bleeding-edge items.
The reviews themselves are usually fine. It's just where the reviews are harbored. The Sites. That's where my anger lies.
Most of these sites are obviously payed for from ad revenue. Seriously, though. I don't want to go to a site and spend my time just looking for the content. Hell, I would say that over half of the page is taken up by ads. Damn, wake up and join the 21st Century.
Not only do the ads slow you down. After you find the actual page content, you then have to go through 30 pages just to read it all. I can understand wanting to reduce the time it takes to load a page, but damn. Unless someone already had a broadband connection, they would have left 20 minutes ago after only half the page had loaded up.
   This angers me.

Apple iPhone...

It seems that the Newton is going to make a comeback. Well, its a PDA-type thingie. The Newton was a PDA thingie. There you go.
Hell, it apparently runs Mac OS X as well. Neato...

I finally got around to successfullly flashing the Geforce 4 that I had lying around for the G4. Sadly, although the modified Mac ROM was properly flashed onto it, it still fails to work. No video whatsoever.
Its not a really big deal since it was a cheap-ass card in the first place. I've still got some things I can do, though.

Well, I'm 22-years old now. Happy Birthday to me.
