Rage filled moment...

I like surfing through news sites. Well, sites that hold links to other news sites (Such as Digg and Slashdot). I especially like to view reviews on products that interest me. This is especially true when it comes to technical computer-related things. Most of these reviews are from sites that specialize in bleeding-edge items.
The reviews themselves are usually fine. It's just where the reviews are harbored. The Sites. That's where my anger lies.
Most of these sites are obviously payed for from ad revenue. Seriously, though. I don't want to go to a site and spend my time just looking for the content. Hell, I would say that over half of the page is taken up by ads. Damn, wake up and join the 21st Century.
Not only do the ads slow you down. After you find the actual page content, you then have to go through 30 pages just to read it all. I can understand wanting to reduce the time it takes to load a page, but damn. Unless someone already had a broadband connection, they would have left 20 minutes ago after only half the page had loaded up.
   This angers me.

thomas! why aren't you using Firefox with the Flashblock and Adblock extensions built in? with these, and a couple of fancy regex strings that I have for Adblock, I can guarantee you that you won't see 90% of the ads that both you now! Act today!

I do have ad-blocking capabilities and I'm using them. I don't see the ads but there is this big space where I know there are some.
