New heatsink for my Gaming PC...

| | Comments (2)

The new heatsink my brother bought me for my Gaming PC's processor is working quite well. In fact, it is about 15 to 20 degrees cooler than the previous one. It is also a lot quieter.
I may even think of overclocking it some more since the chip is being cooled so well.

muh-huh, hoo-ah. always happy to help out the advancement of the computing sciences. What were you running it at before, ghz-wise?

Well, I was just running at 2.25GHz as opposed to its stock 2.1GHz.

Since I boot up Windows in the stock speed and OC on-the-fly, I shouldn't have any problems associated with boot up problems. I'm thinking of getting as close as I can to 200MHz on the FSB. This 'ole Athlon has a lot to give.
