The iPhone that never was...
If you haven't heard about the all-powerful iPhone that Apple is releasing eventually, then you must have been taking an extra long nap underneath a rock somewhere. Who hasn't heard about it? I can go to almost any Mac-centric news site and blam. iPhone this and iPhone that. Hell, you can't even get the damn thing yet.
Oh, I have no doubt that it is going to be some sort of success. It worries me, though. Its almost as if Apple has become content with their computers (They used to be called Apple Computer) and decided to focus on... phones. Yea, wow.
Don't get me wrong. I think its a neato device and all, if somewhat unexciting. Where is the new iMac design that incorporates some new industry-leading technology in itself.
I'm still a Mac person but the iPhone just doesn't interest me.

well, they, think of it like this -- is it a phone, or is it really a small computer? I'd say it's more of a small computer that they just happen to be calling a "phone."
I've even toyed around with getting one of the inevitable iphone clones that are bound to be popping up -- something that runs on the PalmOS would be nice.
