My plans to get a Macbook have stalled for the moment as I had to use some savings to get all the bills done in one go. I do fullly intend to get one soon.
It has been a while, I think, since Apple released a new revision of the Macbooks and I was wondering if I should wait for a newer/better at the same price. Mind you, it's not like I can get one right now. So, I might HAVE to wait anyway. Well, poo...
As you may or may not have seen, I have a new screenshot picture up. This one integrates the GamingPC's screen as well since I've started using dual screen wallpapers to make things look nice.
I need to set up some type of shared thing so that I can share things between them more easily. That would be nice.
The 'ole Asus Slot-1 motherboard that I had bought for my previous gaming PC is back. I'm thinking of digging around for a hard-drive and installing Ubunutu or Xubuntu on it. I'm thinking of making it into an internet kiosk in one of my rooms. That would be mighty nice in my opinion.
I'm still dealing with that sudden and unexpected sore throat I got more than a week ago. I expected to develop the usual cold symptoms but it just never happened. Instead, the sore throat part went away and I'm left feeling the need to constantly clear my throat.
Mind you, this is only a minor inconvenience at worst. What really sucks is this going on when I'm trying to get to sleep. I acquired some throat spray that provides some welcome but very short lived relief.
I do believe that it is going away but that might just be hope. I'm just glad it is nothing more bothersome/worse.
These questions have always been bouncing around in my mind. It hasn't been until now that I could do something about it, though. I have a relatively stable and good-paying (well, it actually pays poorly) job.
I've decided to use that extra bit that I throw into savings for something. For once, I have something to save towards that is a real goal: a Macbook.
I would go for a Macbook Pro if I could but there isn't much point to it. I am definitely not going to use it as a gaming machine (maybe a bit of light gaming). My GamingPC is faster (well, it suffers from my lack of funds just like my mac) and cheaper to upgrade. So, I basically just need something to take over for my upgraded B&W G3. A Macbook would fulfill that, with room to spare.
So, with that out of the way, I've added the Macbook fund to the progress thing on the left of the page. It doesn't show the full amount needed but it shows the amount to reach when I will begin seriously considering buying one.
I still haven't changed out the brakes to the new ones, on the Mustang. I'm thinking about just doing it tomorrow. It is a relatively easy procedure but I haven't yet done it before. So, I'm a little nervous about it. I'll probably end up not getting it done till this weekend, though.
We'll see. Oh yes, that we will.
Finally. It took like a whole week for it to get around again. Nevertheless, I'm in for an enjoyable and relaxing two days.
Also, Father's Day has arrived. Sadly, I have no money to spend on a corporate-approved gift, but I'll think of something.
Yep. Apparently Apple released it today. I already have it installed on my Gaming PC and it is alright. Mind you, its hard to get excited about a web browser these days.
Don't get me wrong, I enjoy using it too. I'll see how good it really is in the days ahead. Looking good so far, though.
Oui! There is nothing more than having to drop back to the desktop on my Gaming PC just to take it several minutes to become responsive again. I suppose increasing the memory from 512MB to 1GB+ might alleviate this problem. Perhaps I'll get a 1GB stick to plop in there. That would be nice. Reaaallll nice.
I'll get to work on that. I still need a better video card than that 9100 I got in there, too. In time, in good time.
I don't know why, but I feel sort of tired/depressed. I can't seem to think of any reason why. I suppose I just get like this sometimes.
It will be nice to get paid tomorrow, though. I suppose having some money to go get some needed things will be nice. It will be very nice. I hope, at least.
I'm sorry I don't have any pictures of him but I will get some on flikr soon enough. You just got to give me enough time to get around to it. Hell, I still haven't even begun to sort through the rest of my stuff in the the temporary 'boxes of moved stuff' room.
In time, in time. It doesn't take much for me to become swamped. Not much at all, indeed.
