MovableType V4....
I've been wondering about upgrading the MovableType on this server to (now free) version 4. I need to see if it offers anything new that I could use. Otherwise, I don't really see any need to upgrade.

Ugh -- don't even bother. One version of MT 4b wouldn't even update from _another_ version of MT 4b when I tried it. It'll cause a god-awful mess trying to update from MT 2.
The application directories are all different, for one thing -- it'd probably be easier just to install a separate installation and transfer over entries and settings.
