G3 Server...

| | Comments (2)

I finally put the new PRAM battery into the G3 Server's motherboard. This should stop it telling me on startup that its time is off. This would stop it until I clicked OK. Not very good on a automated server.
Nevertheless, the G3 server is now back online. All I have to do is find a way around the fact that I no longer have a static IP. There are some easy things to do, I suppose.

You know, even though we don't officially have static IP's, I've noticed that our IP's through Charter never really change -- I've had the same one for months.

(All the better to track us with, I presume -- they ARE required to track us now, according to recent laws passed.)

Yes, I heard that the Government have this agency that has the capability to do a lot of those nasty things. Like keep track of what I am doing online. They must be the "1984 thought police" that George Orwell wrote about. Be careful they could be reading our comments right now. I have heard a rumour that someone who leaves comments on this site is working for the "Man"
