Leopard and the Menubar...
Whine, whine, and some more whining. People are always going to say some aspect of something is stupid. Frankly, I agree that the transparent menubar in the new Mac OS X (10.5) is a what-where-they-thinking type of decision. Why? I suppose it looks fancy. Until you try to use it, that is.
Will people keep bitching about it a couple of months from now? No. Hell, people were the same way about the Dock when OS X originally showed up. Do you hear any arguments about getting rid of it now? Nope. Time heals all wounds, I suppose (sorry for using that saying).
Personally, I would just edit my wallpapers to include a grey/white bar the size of the menubar at the top of them. I bet you people will get used to it soon enough. Or someone will make a good solid third-party solution to make it the way it should be. Whatever.

I'm just surprised that this many Apple users are kicking up a fuss about it -- is Apple's magic starting to wear off?
