New Gardens feature...

| | Comments (2)

Greetings again internet reader(s). I have something for you here on the Gardens.
I found via the Intarnets a neato javascript framework. This particular framework allows for easy usage of many neat and dynamic things on your site. Drag-and-drop things, dynamic lists, and animation things mostly. The possibilities are fun to imagine (I don't really have a use for most of those features on this site).
If you look on the 'panels' on the sides of this page, you'll most likely see one of these, Just give it a click and see what happens.
Hopefully it works on the particular browser you are using. If not, its not a very important feature at this point. I don't really know if it will ever be important here. Fun, though.

I've decided that in order to drive up my unique site traffic that I should provided useful content that brings people back again. Plus, I should update more often.
Mind you, there are probably thousands upon thousands or even millions of other blogs out there like mine. I need something that sets mine apart from others. Should I offer pr0n? Nah, I want my readers to be higher on the intellectual ladder. Not that viewing pr0n makes you stupid. It's just that you wouldn't bother reading my crappy articles then, would you?
Don't you worry though reader(s). I'm gearing up my content creation engine. Its a little old and probably needs a lot of work done to it, but I'm still going to use it.
In other news, I'm almost done watching Escaflowne, thanks to Netflix. That's an anime I've being meaning to see for some time. I ever do love the internet.

General Update

| | Comments (1)

This is just a update to inform you of a few things.

1.    I have two new wallpapers avaliable in the wallpaper gallery (on the right...). One is a Fullmetal Alchemist that I made. It was a rather quick one; so, its not really up to my usual level. Its been a while since I made a wallpaper. Nevertheless, the second wallpaper avaliable is of a famous work by the artist Katsushika Hokusai titled 'In the well of the great wave of Kanawa'. I believe that is the title of it.

2.   The second, and final, thing I have to tell you is that I'm almost done with my 'fan site' galleries. They are avaliable on the right, underneat the wallpaper gallery menu. They might not be up for another day or so, but they are almost done. The whole point of this is a place for mini-articles on things that I like. I felt that they deserved there own spot on my site. So, there it is.

Just a quick update informing you of a few things, eh?

Hmm. A strange things has been happening recently. For a month or so, my blog and TM-Anime have been sharing one single counter. That counter was registering several hundred people a day visiting my sites.

Naturally, because I haven't updated TM-Anime with anything for some time now, I thought they were visiting my blog. Turns out that they weren't.

I'm still looking into the sudden increse of traffic going to TM-Anime. Weird.

The merger of the resources of 'ole TM-ANIME with the 'Gardens' is going good. I've already got most of the wallpapers moved overe here and I've almost completed the PHP script that will help you move through it.

I should have that all done by tomorrow though. I've just got to put the finishing touches on it.

Don't that background stuff look quite nice. The way it looks transparent and whatnot. Mmmmm.... nice.

I tested it on Safari, Camino, and iCab on the Mac OS. Safari and Camino showed everything just the way it is suppose to be. iCab on the other hand, ughhhh. Hopefully, the new rendering engine present in iCab 3.0 will solve some problems.

On the PC side, I tested both Firefox and IE 5.something on my emulator. While Firefox showed everything just perfectly, IE was just down-right ugly. Scary.

I can't really take credit for the way the background is handled. I got the idea from another side that specialized in CSS things, and they were nice ideas too.

Still working...

I'm still working on the site. As you can see(if I haven't fixed it by now), the banner isn't transparent like it should be. It seems that I forgot to get rid of the green background before I saved it as a .png. Ughh.

In other news, things are coming along nicely. I should have this place looking just like home in a couple of days.
