I checked on Spiderweb Software's site this morning to find out that they have released Avernum 5 right on time. I haven't yet played even a small bit yet but I do plan to soon. As always, I don't doubt that it is going to be fun.
Now I just have to manage to save up some money to register it.

I got bored this weekend and decided to take a stop by GameStop to see what they had in the way of used PS2 games. I perused around for a bit and decided on buying two games.
The first game I picked up for 10 bucks was Baldur's Gate: Dark Alliance. I've played about 4 hours worth of it so far and it is quite fun. It has a definite Diablo II feel about it. That's a good thing.
The other game I picked up, Shadow the Hedgehog, is one that I've been wanting to check out for some time. Sadly, I still have yet to play it. I do plan on doing so soon, though. Time, time.
In total I only spent around $25. I think it was a good deal.
I finally found out what was causing Dark Messiah to either not start up or crap out shortly after starting to play. It seems that it doesn't like my software audio (hardware accelerated audio rarely comes equipped on motherboards). Lowering the acceleration utilization, via DXDiag, enabled me to play the game again. Good thing as I'm near the end of it.
I remember playing this game back in the day. I especially loved playing the 2-player variant. It was exceedingly funtastic.
Remembering this, I bought a copy of it on eBay for real cheap. I think it was just a great deal too.
I originally tried playing on a PSX emulator on my GamingPC. One emulator would play it poorly and the another one I tried would play way too fast for some reason. Then I remembered that I have a PS2. I don't why I didn't use it in the first place. But, who cares? I can play it now. Fun Time a Go!
Hmm...
Its been sometime since I last played either Eve Online or World of Warcraft. To tell you the truth, I've missed flying around my spaceship more than running around with Hokusai, the Paladin of Light. I suppose I equally miss both. I've just played Eve Online more recently than WoW.
In fact, I'm VERY pleased. Today, Blizzard announced that the new game is Starcraft II. I'm ever so happy.
Have you checked by Blizzard lately. I ever do wonder what that question mark is going to be. Oooooo, the possiblities. I do hope that it is not another damn MMORPG or anything like that.
Personally, I would really like it to be Starcraft 2 or something related to Starcraft. On the other hand, I would like to play some new Diablo.
An actual suprise to look forward to.
I couldn't help but take the offer of an account plus thirty free days of play time. It was quite a steal for just 20 bucks. I, strangely enough, haven't been playing too much of it today, but I plan to soon.
If the title of this entry wasn't ovious enough, the game I'm talking about is EVE Online. I've heard a bit about it and it sounded just right. Hell, its ships IN SPACE.
I can't do much of a review because the time that I actually was on today was spent going through some of the tutorial on how to play. I will post back once I get a little more experience playing. I hope it doesn't disappoint.
